Manana has a passion for music. Known as Mrs. Gigi to her students, she is a Russian-trained pianist. Growing up in the Republic of Georgia, Manana was able to study with many fine pianists such as L. Abashidze and E. Arutunova. In college she won the Silver Medal in the Tchaikovsky Competition. Manana is also teaching at Regina Ziliani's Charlotte Academy of Music.
Manana is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers and the American College of Musicians. Her students have performed at the District, State and National levels in the National Piano Guild Auditions. Manana enjoys finding just the right music to inspire her students. She is also a gifted artist, having studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Moscow where she learned to paint in oils, watercolors, and acrylics. She also learned the art of Gobelin, and her work has been displayed in the former Soviet Union, Iran, Eastern Europe and The United States. Manana recently completed the illustrations for a new children's book as well.
